Yes, it should work. ESRI technology (e.g. ArcSDE SDK) is always
backward compatible within any version of ESRI Geodatabase 9.x, so
also ArcSDE SDK 9.2 know about ArcSDE SDK 9.1, but not the other way
around. There might be some slight changes in additional
functionalities - please check the Release notes (usually in a form of
a PDF) on the installation CD or ask ESRI or ESRI Distributor to
provide it.
