Hi Justin,

You can try getting the spatial context associated with that feature class.
Each spatial context has an extent property. AFAIK, spatial context extents
in ArcSDE are static and may not truly represent the MBR of your entire
feature class.

Also the provider supports SQL commands, so worst case you could query this
table yourself.
