I did a bit of googling and it seems that would are picking up multiple versions of libz. I would think that if you had only installed the developer components, libz would not be picked up from the MySQL directory. Are you building MySQL yourself? If so, you may want to adjust your MySQL compilation flags.

Subject: [fdo-users] RE: Mysql provider can not be built
Greg, thanks a lot for answering, I have run as root the export command for
enviroment as follow:
export FDO=/root/Desktop/instxalapa/fdo/OpenSource_FDO/Fdo
export FDOUTILITIES=/root/Desktop/instxalapa/fdo/OpenSource_FDO/Utilities
export FDOTHIRDPARTY=/root/Desktop/instxalapa/fdo/OpenSource_FDO/Thirdparty
export FDOGDAL=/root/Desktop/instxalapa/fdo/OpenSource_FDO/Thirdparty/gdal
export FDOMYSQL=/var/lib/mysql
About FDO version, I just tried with 3.3.x due mgos requires 3.3.x for
installing.
The error is;
