I don't have PostGIS extension installed, just PostgreSQL 8.3 with ArcSDE
9.3:
-an sde database with 3 schemas: public, sde(ArcSDE system tables), and
sde_data(with some feature classes and owned by sde_data user role)
-sde_data user role has usage privilege on sde schema and create privilege
on sde tablespace.
-i create some feature classes in sde_data schema with a ArcGIS Desktop
Direct connection; i used the same parameters i tried with FDO ArcSDE
Provider.

Some Months ago, i tried with succes the native PostGIS provider on a
PostgreSQL/PostGIS data/server(without ArcSDE); in this case i have to use
native ArcSDE on PostgreSQL.
