OK Greg, I think this is corrected now.  

Note that rasters without georeferencing are just silently
ignored.  No error or exception is thrown.  This isn't so
bad when scanning a directory, but seems a bit off if the
file was directly requested.  Should I try and throw an exception
under some circumstances?
