[Featureserver] Instant shp-uploading

Hi all,

I am new to this list and for starters I was going to ask a quick 
question about using shp-files in FeatureServer/OpenLayers.

Is it possible with these software to build a service where the end-user 
could upload a shp-file into FeatureServer and after that use it through 
OpenLayers? And I mean with that simple without any special knowledge on 
GIS or shape filer or so.
