Hello,
in early 2012 NVS published their new firmware with binary raw data output
(including carrier phase values of course):
http://www.nvs-gnss.com/news/65-nvs-technologies-ag-releases-a-raw-data-output-enabled-firmware-for-its-nv08c-multi-gnss-receiver-series.html
My partner company in Italy developed some weeks before a special "fork" of
RTKLIB which contained a parser for the NVS proprietary "BINR" message
protocol (under NDA of NVS).
This was the "natural" enhancement for its NV08C-CSM breakout boards:

A bit later, by publishing the 3rd beta of the new RTKLIB version 2.4.2,
BINR support was implemented in the official RTKLIB.
There are several developers and manufacturers of NV08C-CSM based boards
and/or complete devices now.
So anybody is free to take hardware in different "flavors" and price levels,
beginning of course with the "naked" module ...
