[FOSS4G-Oceania] FOSS4G Steering committee

Will be great to see this come together. We should be especially conscious
that our friends in the Pacific Islands already have their own OSGeo
chapter, and have been discussing a Pacific Islands FOSS4G in their region.
I'm sure we can work with them to make sure we're collaborating & not
competing, and helping each other grow the Oceania community. There was a
brief discussion a few days ago on the Pacific mailing list about this (see

).

Just a thought, maybe one option to consider: at the conference (perhaps in
a birds of a feather session?), we formalise the re-formation of the
Aust-NZ chapter, and re-form a conference committee for 2019, in
partnership with the Pacific Islands chapter.
