I believe that what we are offering is quite reasonably priced. Like Gavin has suggested, we will have to make it more enticing for the "big guns" with the number of people from that entity to attend the conference. The more people they can have there, the more networking, marketing and brand building can take place.
 
I would also like to suggest totalling the number of candidates per country and per year so as to give an indication of the bigger picture. I know it is mentioned earlier on, but this will confirm the opportunity. 
 
One of the key focus areas in terms of Marketing would be the opportunity to have the company logo displayed on FOSS4G2008 website as soon as the complete payment has been received. This would provide the ideal opportunity for companies to become strongly associated with the FOSS market by registering early. This will provide ample exposure, especially if everybody uses the website for registration.
 
The rest of the layout details etc. is pretty much basic for conferences. Like Carrin suggested I think the "big guns" would love the demo area. What a better way to sell your product then to demonstrate it, especially if you show content solving "African" issues.

Hi all
 
Please see attached the Sponsorship and Exhibitor prospectus. Pending final inputs it will be ready for distribution before the end of the week. Our contact list and LOC allocations for contacting prospective sponsors and exhibitors will also be ready by then. 
 
The amounts sought here total R1 600 000, which is conservatively what we need to raise with our budget as it stands. 
 
This prospectus targets commercial Sponsors and Exhibitors as well as 'in-kind' contributors and Donors. LOC members will be sending it asap to their contacts, the list that we have been building up, previous sponsors, the GISSA vendor list, etc.
 
Please give this your full attention as securing sponsorship is critical at this stage.
