Cameron,

Good suggestion. It is about time that we actioned this.

(For those who have not seen the suggestion, it was made on the
FOSS4G-2009 Private List that is being used at this stage to discuss PCO
evaluations.)

To start with, let's get the position of Chair sorted out to allow
negotiations and work to continue.

Lets keep the time frame for nominations for Chair short, rather than
drag the process out.

I propose that we close nominations at 5pm on Monday 6 May (GMT +10).

If necessary, this can be followed by a vote.

If nominated, please signal your acceptance via return email to the
OSGeo-AustNZ list.

I'd like to propose Cameron Shorter for the position of Chair of the
FOSS4G-2009 Local Organising Committee.

For those who don't know, Cameron was largely the driving force behind
putting together the AustNZ bid for FOSS4G-2009.

Being located in Sydney also makes it much easier for Cameron to deal
with our Professional Conference Organiser (when appointed).
