[Foss4g2009] Venue for FOSS4G 2009

Dear Organising Committee,

 

After tallying up the votes for the venue for the FOSS4G 2009 Conference
everyone has voted to go with SCEC. So we will lock in the dates of
Wednesday 21st to Friday the 23rd of October 2009.

 

With the workshops it seems that most people would prefer them to be on
Tuesday 20th October. Denisa and I are looking at venues for the
workshops and think that we will be able to hold them on this date.

 

Code sprint would then be on Saturday 24th October either at Cameron's
office (Cameron we should make a time to discuss/ confirm this) or at an
off site venue such as the Maritime Museum. 

 

We will therefore start advertising the Conferences as running from
Tuesday 20 - Friday 23 October 2009 (we will not advertise the date of
the code sprint as it is invite only).
