I agree it shouldn't continue on this list,
but can I suggest you both move the discussion
over to the Conference_dev list:

In future years all of 'this sort of stuff' will
likely be handled by the OSGeo Conference Committee,
so having a record (mailing list archive) of exactly
what is done for 2009 would be helpful for 2010.
