no seriously if Tim mentions it some peeps will follow the foss4g2009
twitter feed and some won't but i see it as just an other avenue to
get the message to the public.

I have seen twitter used quite successfully pre-conf to remind peeps of events.

I have also seen it being used during the conference to inform peeps
of currents sessions and upcoming sessions.

And sometimes even post conf for follow up info like slides are now online
