Right, sorry too much playing with cacheing on my part.

I used www.foss4g2007.org as the canonical address, so my conf file
had the usual entry for that site, with all the site stuff, and this
stub entry for http://foss4g2007.org

ServerName foss4g2007.org
RedirectPermanent / http://www.foss4g2007.org/
</VirtualHost>

We would presumably have a lot more stubs.
