Hi All,
Just joined the mailing list and I am happy the assist where possible
with tasks etc for conference. I am still digesting the wiki in stages
so bare with me while I come up to speed, it seems everyone has been
very busy!
One thing that came to mind... are there any documentation requirements
for the LiveCD or workshop sessions? Maybe I could help there?
Noted thread on relationship with SSI
(http://lists.osgeo.org/pipermail/foss4g2009/2009-January/000639.html) -
as a member I might be able to help here as well.
A little background...
I suppose my interests revolve mainly around integrated solutions and
data migration/management. I've been working with open source software
for a-spatial data management and services for a number of years and
have more recently shifted my focus back to geospatial applications
(FWTools, web applications, etc). I am particularly interested in the
application and promotion of OS software for value adding existing
commercial and non-commercial systems.
I have good deal of experience within Local Government IT realms and
think that there should be a fair amount of interest in this conference
from that sector in particular. Happy to make some phone calls to
discuss/promote conference among contacts.
I look forward to getting involved.
Regards,
