A few issues
Workshops:
We should not restrict ourselves to installing off the OSGeo for Windows
project.
We should not be allowing workshop and tutorial participants to state
requirements for either the CCIP or LiveDVD in a form they submit. This
will give them the impression that they have done all they need to do to
ensure their requirements are met. I don't know about the CCIP, but the
LiveDVD project has no scope for meeting the arbitrary requirements of
34 different presenters.
Tutorials:
Do we actually want to make participation in the installfest manditory
for tutorial presenters? I think that's a terrible idea. Many tutorial
presenters may not be presenting installables and I don't want people
not submitting tutorials because of this oblique requirement. I'm also
unclear how the installfest fits with LiveDVD here.
I have added links to the website contacts page for discussions on teh
workshop computers or the LiveDVD, and a section in CCIP indicating that
it will be a better alternative than trying to hit the net to access data.
I'm thrilled we have a CCIP section. I think that was the last thing
these were waiting for.
