[Foss4g2009] Workshop / tutorial submissions cutoff

Simon,
Is there a way to block the submission of workshops and tutorials, as 
prevent users from updating them?  My concern is that I'm going to start 
sucking out the submissions and squeezing them into pdf docs for review, 
and I don't want people thinking their submissions/updates are getting 
through once their not.
