[FOSS4G2016] Early Bird with FOSS4G?

Which reminds of one question regarding the early bird discount: 
=> Does FOSSGIS have an early bird discount? 


According to the statistics [1] most FOSSGIS conferences had an pretty
steady number of registrations/week. Especially Berlin2014 had a small
bandwidth (51-77) over the last 6 weeks. Münster 2015 is the exception on
this rule, with far more variation in the last 6 weeks (19-88).

Is there any idea why Münster has such a large bandwidth in registrations? A
dip during the winter holidays perhaps?
