Hi Christoph,

I just went through your draft. Sounds really good! I share some thought
according to your questions inline.

Cheers and thanks,
Chris

I think it is important to give an incentive if you want to have private
donations. Even a small thing like having an online "Donator-Wall" with the
names will probably encourage more people to donate. A raffle will multiply this
effect, IMHO even if it is just a T-Shirt or something.

Means that 40 people have to donate to get the 1000 Euro. Sounds doable. A
progress bar would be a good idea. A non-empty progress bar also encourages more
people to donate. Hopefully we quickly find some donators.

I'd personally vote for country of residence. Sounds more fair to me.

> - Will we award points for all students, or those under a specific age?

The only thing I could imagine for an age-limitation is that we want to have
more "younger" attendees at FOSS4G. Otherwise I think age should not play a
role, IMHO.

> - How will the application work? Send an email? Web form?

It should be as easy as possible and the applications should be comparable. So a
form would be the better options. Maybe a PDF which can be filled directly could
also be option.
