Joel,
I am unable to reproduce this problem. I would suggest resetting your path
to the minimum before running openev to ensure you aren't getting some other
environment variable, though setfw.bat does try to put the OpenEV_FW bin
directory ahead of everything else so I wouldn't think this would be a problem.
Do you have any NCS dlls in your WINNT or WINNT\SYSTEM32 directories (or
whatever the equivelent directories are on Win2000)? If so, I think they
take precidence over the PATH. Try running OpenEV.bat from within
openev_fw\bin. In that case the local dlls should take precidence over even
the ones in the system directories.
Also, I discovered while looking into this that there is another problem with
using openev in the distribution I posted. Assuming you get past the above
problem, could you try the following dist and see if it is OK for you?
