[Gdal-dev] LIDAR to DEM

Christoph,

It is better to describe what software system you will want to read the
LIDAR data into.  If you mean "USGS DEM", it is not a transfer format,
however there are other kinds of "DEM" that we can recommended based on
your exact needs.
