David,
I have. It compiled flawlessly for me when I did it about 4 or 5 months
ago.

Subject: [Gdal-dev] GDAL 1.1.9 in VC.NET 2003
Has anyone built GDAL 1.1.9 in VC.NET 2003?
I'm asking to see if there are any know issues with doing this, or some
reason to move up to GDAL 1.2.0.
Is the version of Jasper I use with GDAL dependent on the GDAL version?
I just created a build using the VC.NET 2003 compiler/linker with
version 1.1.9 of GDAL, and Xerces 2.5.0, and Jasper 1.700.5 The code I
am using it with was build with the Multi-Threaded DLL C-Runtime (\MD
and \MDd compiler options) So I rebuilt Jasper and GDAL with those
settings. I ran into a strange error when creating a debug build where
the resulting GDAL DLL had both the debug and non-debug versions of
MSVCRT linked into it. This was causing runtime asserts. The only way
I found to fix this was to explicitly tell the linker to ignore the
non-debug version of MSVCRT. Has anyone seen this before and could
possibly shed more light on it for me?
Thanks
