[Gdal-dev] GDAL 1.2.3 Release Candidate

Folks,

Due to a number of fairly serious flaws in the 1.2.2 release, I have prepared
a 1.2.3 release.  I have put a release candidate up on gdal.org, but I haven't
finished testing it.  Anyone who has run into problems, or who would like
to give it a spin is encouraged to download and build it.

I will declare it official in the next day or two after I have done some
further test builds with it if no one else raises any issues.
