Jim,

Zak James at DM Solutions has succeeded in getting OpenEV
to run on MacOS X using GTK 1.x; however, it wasn't all that
easy.  I tried myself and failed.

There is apparently a GTK 2.x port of OpenEV underway at
Vexcel, but I am not sure how close it is to working fully and
wide distribution.
