No, I'm sorry, I wrote out the complete PROJ-definitions without any 
"init", but adding, changing or leaving out +towgs84=... didn't make any 
difference. The same proj-strings with cs2cs showed the expected 
differences. Doesn't GDAL pick up +towgs84?
