[Gdal-dev] How does one remove Overviews?

I use a little variance of Homme Zwaagstra's gdalsplit.cpp that use
AddSimpleSource method to copy RasterBand and split file after I created
overviews with gdaladdo command. How can I know if my overviews are
preserved?
