"Open a "Visual Studio Command Prompt". A shortcut to do that was also
installed with Visual Studio."

if you have both installed, it is probably some combination of  
running vcvars.bat for the right compiler and maybe some PATH  
hacking.  I've never had both installed at the same time and don't  
know how they interact with each other though.
