Certainly not a very desirable solution, and for many not possible.
I just tried FireFox on Mac OS X, same problem. Also made sure popup
and ad blocking were off in Safari and FireFox.
Looks like Virtual PC/Win2K works. Now I see what's missing - for
some reason on the Mac the "download_product.aspx?
PRODUCT_VERSION_ID=288" part of the link is getting chopped off. If
I copy the whole link from Virtual PC and paste it in Safari, I get
the download. Yet in the page source in Safari, the whole link is
there.
Oh. Wierd. The clickable area for the links from the top menu are
extending over the Download Now link, so when I move the mouse left/
right over Download Now, I get different menu links. I suspect some
buggy HTML in the new download system.
