Drew,
GDAL is supposed to auto-recognise file formats. So
if gdalinfo doesn't recognise the format it is presumably
something different than the driver was written for. Can
you point me to a sample file?
By the way, the ELAS test files I have all end with the
extension .odf. I don't know if that is significant.
