[Gdal-dev] Error compiling gdal with MrSid support in ubuntu linux

Thank you!!! It finally worked! 
I will give the ecw-problem a try another day/night... (now that I got
MrSid working) 
With "other C++ packages" you refer only to packages that depend upon
libgeos/libgdal right. like Qgis, mapserver etc.
What about PostGIS ??
