[Gdal-dev] GDAL version problem

   I can use the function 'const char *CPLReadLine(file *fp)' OF gdal1.2 version successfully.But now i replace the gdal1.2 with the gdal1.3.1 in the same project,the function 'const char *CPLReadLine(file *fp)' can't run successfully.why?is it the version problem?
    please help me
