[Gdal-dev] OGR - Writing MapInfo Text Features

Hello,

Can the MapInfo (TAB/MIF) driver for OGR write a text feature via the OGR interface?  I know that when I read a text feature using OGR, I get a point geometry with a label attached.  I tried writing a point geometry with a label attached, but that did not work.

I can write a text feature using MITAB directly, but the MITAB classes are not exported from GDAL, and I'd prefer to use just the OGR interfaces in any case.
