[gdal-dev] 1.5.0b2 geotiff and 1-bit compression..

Something appears to have broken creation of 1-bit Geotiffs relatively
recently.. It works with the 1.5dev snapshot included with QGIS, and
with 1.4.2.0, but fails with FWTools2.03 and the beta2 binaries for
Win32.

 

$ /cygdrive/c/Program\ Files/FWTools2.0.3/bin/gdal_translate.exe  -co
NBITS=1 -co COMPRESS=PACKBITS worc_test21.img worc_test22.tif

Input file size is 363341, 362736

It does produce an output file, but it is completely blank.

 

worc_test21.img is a ~16GB, 1-bit HFA file. Quite sparse.. compresses
down to about 250 MB with CCITT FAX4. Not something I can distribute as
test material, though.
