[Gdal-dev] Storing Rasters in Databases

Hi,

Does anyone know of any databases that allow for the storage of raster
data (in addition to spatial vector objects)? I know that Oracle 10g
supports this with their GeoRaster type. Do any others? Are any of these
accessible via GDAL? (I know that GeoRaster isn't currently, though we
might be interested in fixing that if Oracle's the way to go). Any way
to store rasters in PostGIS databases? Or MS SQL Server?
