Ben,

I also whould like to thank you for the VC project. I used your <File> tree in the "Makefile Project" (gdal\makegdalNN.vcproj). 

There are obvious advantages of using the Ben's VC2005 project but it is a little harder to maintain compatibility with the current makefile.vc. 

In the "Makefile Project" the absence of a source file will not affect the compilation because it runs "make -f makefile.vc" anyway. Some of the code completing works, some doesn't; Clicling in the sintax error not always "Go to location".

I suggest you try to use the makegdal80.vcproj to see if attends you needs:

Hi Ben,

thanks for the efforts to make a solution for VS2005. Maybe you forget to set the Additional Include Directories for the project gdal_rasterrize, it should be set like "..\..\alg;..\..\frmts;..\..\gcore;..\..\ogr;..\..\port". 

I build it successfully after setting the include paths.

for me to realize my www.gdal.org web site update script was broken.
