Clay,

NASA's GeoCover MrSID Landsat image mosaics do not have information on the coordinate system or datum embeded in the MrSID image header.  The NASA GeoCover Landsat mosaics are in UTM WGS84.  In your case, your image is in UTM, WGS84, Zone 17 North.

If you really need to add this info into the MrSID image header, you need to use the software GeoExpress from LizardTech to do it.  NASA's GeoCover MrSID images are in the MG2 MrSID format.  You would use GeoExpress to convert it from MG2 to MG3 and specify the coordinate system and datum for the MG3 output image.

If you do not have GeoExpress, you can download a trial version at LizardTech''s web site (www.lizardtech.com).
