Hello,

I have a large (19 Gigabyte) erdas imagine file which I want to bring into
ERMapper.

I have downloaded the minimalist windows executables from
http://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/wiki/DownloadingGdalBinaries

I am running windows xp with 2 GB of RAM.

I know I should use the gdal_translate command, but I am unsure of the best
output format.

ecw won't work for the file size is too large.

I thought GTiff would work, but I can't force BIGTIFF=YES

Is there a plain old band-interleaved-by-line format available?

Regards,
nick
