[gdal-dev] gdal 1.5.3 make - files missing

hi list,

I have made gdal 1.5.3 using the stable branch
http://download.osgeo.org/gdal/daily/

After "make install", libgdal.so.1.12.3, libgdal.la, libgdal.a were
generated in /local-install/lib/

However compared to my previous gdal 1.4.0, these files are missing
under /local-install/lib/python2.5/site-packages/:
osr.py, ogr.py, gdal.py, gdalconst.py, gdalnumeric.py, _gdalmodule.so,
_gdalmodule.la, _gdalmodule.a

What did I do wrong?

Shawn,

The trunk and stable branches are captured each night and placed in this
location. So you can always grab essentially the latest code from there.

This will almost certainly work fine.  But you might also consider just
using the trunk version from svn or the nightly snapshot.  Certainly we
would appreciate your trying it out before the final 1.6 release.
