[gdal-dev] ogr vfk and write access

the autotest suite is located here :

I'm not sure which existing script might serve as a reference. You can 
have a look at 
http://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/browser/trunk/autotest/ogr/ogr_bna.py for a 
script that checks both read and write support
