[gdal-dev] Small image format

Hi!

We have a lot of ECW files today that we distribute on the net. We
have about 2,5 TB of ECW files.

Is there any other format supported by GDAL that would not
signifiantly increase the file size if we convert our files to it. The
best result I have gotten so far is TIFF LZW compression with
PREDICTION=2, which increase the file size about 7 times.

The file format must support file sizes larger than 4GB and should not
need an extra license.

Is there anything better to use than TIFF LZW or am I out of luck?
