You might want to do a test with the packages provided at
http://vbkto.dyndns.org/sdk/ . Both the Win32 and Win64 packages are
suitable to run on a Win64 environment.

These packages are used also in the GDAL buildbot online testing envionment:
http://buildbot.osgeo.org:8500/waterfall
