Hello,
I'm trying to understand why my gdal-config file says libodbc(-lodbc) and
libodbcinst(-lodbcinst) are located in /usr/local/lib:
CONFIG_LIBS="-L/usr/local/lib -lgdal"
CONFIG_DEP_LIBS=" -L/usr/local/lib -lgeos_c -lsqlite3 -lodbc -lodbcinst
-lxerces-c -lpthread -ljasper -lhdf5 -lmfhdfalt -ldfalt -lgif -ljpeg -lpng
-lnetcdf -L/usr/lib -lpq -lz -lpthread -lm -lrt -ldl -lcurl
-Wl,-Bsymbolic-functions
This doesn't make sense considering this:
$ sudo find /usr -name libodbc*
/usr/lib32/libodbcinst.so.1
/usr/lib32/libodbccr.so
/usr/lib32/odbc/libodbcpsqlS.so
/usr/lib32/odbc/libodbctxtS.so
/usr/lib32/odbc/libodbcminiS.so
/usr/lib32/odbc/libodbcmyS.so
/usr/lib32/odbc/libodbcnnS.so
/usr/lib32/odbc/libodbcdrvcfg2S.so
/usr/lib32/odbc/libodbcdrvcfg1S.so
/usr/lib32/libodbccr.so.1
/usr/lib32/libodbccr.so.1.0.0
/usr/lib32/libodbc.so.1
/usr/lib32/libodbcinst.so
/usr/lib32/wine/libodbccp32.def
/usr/lib32/wine/libodbc32.def
/usr/lib32/libodbc.so
/usr/lib32/libodbcinst.so.1.0.0
/usr/lib32/libodbc.so.1.0.0
/usr/lib/libodbcinst.so.1
/usr/lib/libodbcinstQ.so.1
/usr/lib/odbc/libodbcpsqlS.so
/usr/lib/odbc/libodbctxtS.so
/usr/lib/odbc/libodbcminiS.so
/usr/lib/odbc/libodbcmyS.so
/usr/lib/odbc/libodbcnnS.so
/usr/lib/odbc/libodbcdrvcfg2S.so
/usr/lib/odbc/libodbcdrvcfg1S.so
/usr/lib/libodbccr.so.1
/usr/lib/libodbccr.so.1.0.0
/usr/lib/libodbc.so.1
/usr/lib/libodbcinstQ.so.1.0.0
/usr/lib/libodbcinst.so.1.0.0
/usr/lib/libodbc.so.1.0.0
/usr/share/doc/libodbcinstq1c2
Or considering the output of the following 'ldconfig' line puts them in the
same place as 'find' above
$ ldconfig -v >/tmp/ldconfig.output.txt 2>&1
I built GDAL 1.8.0 from source on Ubuntu 10.10
any ideas?
