[gdal-dev] Tester with ERDAS needed

Hi,

It would be fine if someone with access to ERDAS Imagine could test if a
certain JPEG2000 georeferencing issue got corrected by
http://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/ticket/5249.
The description of the ticket is

"Under some circumstances, ERDAS Imagine can produce JPEG2000 with 2
embedded GeoTIFF JP2Box boxes. One of them (the first one) contains valid
georeferencing whereas the other one (the second one) contains a LOCAL_CS
with a geotransform = { 0, 1, 0, 0, 0, 1 }.
Currently, GDAL will take into account the last GeoTIFF JP2Box (the wrong one)."

For the same reason ArcMap is also taking the wrong georeferencing.

How to test:

- Take some GeoTIFF and open it with ERDAS.
- Export image from ERDAS into JPEG2000 so that only the georeferencing with
GeoTIFF is selected. By default both georeferencing with GeoTIFF and with
GML are selected and then this problem does not occur.
- Run gdalinfo for the saved image. Before
http://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/changeset/26485 the origo is informed to be at
coordinates (0,0). After r26485 it should be found from the correct place.

I have heard that ERDAS may write even more than two GeoTIFF JP2Boxes. To
test this open with ERDAS the JPEG2000 with two JP2Boxes that was just
created and export it again into JPEG2000 by using again only GeoTIFF
georeferencing. It may be that the resulting image has now three JP2Boxes
and the login in r26485 will not handle that mess.
