[gdal-dev] AOI, Signature and Fourier Transform files' access?

Hi Ramesh,

Are those files real raster images or auxiliary information, companion of .img files? Can you point to a website that describe those files?

There is nothing on [http://www.gdal.org/frmt_hfa.html] that says the HFA driver reads it. 

Assuming that those are auxiliary information, would you like GDAL to convert the information on the signature/fourier file to another GDAL format that also supports it (if there one) or would you like to write your own application to deal with that information?
