[gdal-dev] upper-/lower-case for names in DNC-charts structures (VPF).

Hi, list!
We're trying to read a DNC chart (VPF format) in a Linux OS. The OGR driver reports that files are not found. It works in Windows.
The problems seems to be caseing of the names, if we recursively rename the file paths to lowercase it works.  But it does not work with the original files.
We have searched the "VPF" files and can see that the referenced filenames is no different from the filenames on disc, does the OGR driver force names that are read in the files to be lower case?

Our biggest problem is that the files are read directly from CD and can't be renamed prior reading.
Does anyone have a solution for this?
