[gdal-dev] ISO WKT in gdal 2.0

Hi Folks,
I had an acquaintance in USGS ask me whether gdal 2.0+uses ISO WKT  or is
still using OGC WKT .

I did see the discussion at

and the project on the 2016 Summer of Code list,
https://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/wiki/SummerOfCode, so I am assuming that ISO
WKT has not been implemented yet.

I assumed that the effort was underway after reading this thread.
