[gdal-dev] "latest" rasterlite2?

But there are readymade tarballs - that's the 1.1.0beta0 that's on the rasterlite2 front page.  Sure, it's a beta, but it's the only one available and it's been there for over a year.  All the other projects on gaia-gis also have tarballs.
