[gdal-dev] DIMAP driver questions

Hi,

The DIMAP driver page<https://gdal.org/drivers/raster/dimap.html> lists names of the index files to look at. I don't have any of these filenames in our SPOT6 folder tree. Is the driver description page incomplete or perhaps I've been given a different DIMAP version?

METADATA.DIM (DIMAP 1),
VOL_PHR.XML (DIMAP 2) or
VOL_PNEO.XML (DIMAP 2 VHR-2020)

By pointing gdalinfo at the xml files I think I've determined that the index file name is of the pattern "DIM_SPOT6_MS_201508152008275_SEN_1.XML". Is this right?

Gdalinfo report and filename listings attached.


The folders named "lineage" and "mask" have names that indicate useful info however gdalinfo report doesn't refer to them. Is there some other way to take advantage of them or is that the province of full blown remote sensing software?

I'm using GDAL Utilities v3.1.4 released 2020/10/20 via Qgis 3.18 on Windows.
