[gdal-dev] gdal Vertical Datum/ Reference System

I need help with identifying vertical datum on raster for a project that I
am working on. When I run gdalinfo raster.tif, I can identify the
horizontal reference system as given by the EPSG:XXXX. However, I am
struggling identifying the vertical reference system; which is a
prerequisite for transforming vertical datum using gdal.
