Greetings Twisha!
For GDAL, I'd encourage you to start with the documentation. Everything
is there, commands and syntax, spatial formats, etc.
https://gdal.org/en/stable/download.html#documentation
In particular, look at the new GDAL CLI commands, as this is the new
direction for GDAL CLI, as opposed to the tried and true GDAL 'programs'.
GDAL CLI will allow you to work directly with your data, no Arc, no
python, no unnecessary intermediate baggage. The power of this cannot be
understated.
Specific docs for GDAL CLI:
https://gdal.org/en/latest/programs/index.html#gdal-application
It can be a bit daunting, but don't get discouraged, just read the docs.
Every command in the docs has excellent examples at the bottom. Of
course, this list is a great place to ask questions.
Hope that helps!
